The KMFA held safety seminars and field tours for volunteer groups that engage in local forest maintenance activities.
On October 3rd and 9th, 2021, the KMFA held a field tour and safety seminar for voluntary groups that are receiving funding from the National Forestry Agency to preserve the forest’s multiple functions for the public, including water source conservation and prevention of soil erosion.

Mr. Junichiro Saito, a certified expert in forestry machinery and risk management, gave a lecture on safety precaution measures during forestry work and machine maintenance.

While the seminar had been suspended for a few months this year due to the pandemic, nearly 20 people from around the prefecture participated.

After the lecture, they shared their experiences and information on their own activities with the other participants. We hope that this enabled them to deepen their understanding of their own local forest and the necessity of its proper management, and also nurture further cooperation.

The KMFA appreciates all the participants and the host groups who kindly offered their venues.
